 Dear Parents, 

I am delighted to say that the senior pupils and staff returned safely on Wednesday after a very hectic, but worthwhile educational trip to Disneyland, Paris. 

A proof of your child’s class photograph has been given to him/her.  If you would like to purchase a copy please complete the Order form and return the Payment Envelope by Friday 10^th February.   Your cheque must be made payable to Tempest Photography.  Thank you. 

Please get baking for the PTA’s annual St. Valentine’s cake sale and coffee morning during morning break and after school on Tuesday 7^th February. Please bring cakes and biscuits to school on the Tuesday morning.  We suggest your child brings with him/her no more than £1 in 20p’s.

Boys from Year 3 upwards participated in a 7 a-side Football Tournament organised by Royal Russell School.  The boys played well and enjoyed the experience.  I understand that the sausages and chips were a great success! Many thanks to the parents who supported the boys.

Just a reminder that our Readathon begins Thursday 9^th February until Friday 16^th March for Reception to Year 6 and we hope that you will encourage your child to read as much as possible.  In conjunction with this, there is also an art competition and the deadline for this is Monday 5^th March. Letters giving full details about these were given out this week.  

 Half term commences Friday 10^th February at 3.15pm for Years 7, 8, 9, and 10 and 4pm for Year 11.   Austen’s Club will run until 6pm. 

 Swimming starts again on Monday 20^th February.
