Admissions

Wickham Court School welcomes applications for admission from all children regardless of race, colour, gender, non-disqualifying handicaps, religion, nationalality or ethnic origin.

We consider applications throughout the year, and you are free to visit us at any time.

The best time is usually when classes are in session, for this will give you a true sense of the interaction between pupils and teachers. It will also give you a chance to experience the atmosphere of Wickham Court School and, indeed, to understand why we believe that it is one truly conducive to learning.

ADMISSION TO THE EARLY YEARS DEPARTMENT
TeachersChildren are accepted at 2½ years old for full or part-time care and education.

ADMISSION TO THE PRIMARY DEPARTMENT

Children aged 4 are accepted into the reception class. Children aged 5 to 11 are accepted into Years 1 to 6, as appropriate. Each child first meets with their Class Teacher and the Head Teacher. We then encourage a "trial" day to ensure that the child is happy before full admission.

ADMISSION TO THE SENIOR DEPARTMENT

Admission to Year 7 is via an interview with the Year 7 Home Tutor and the Head Teacher. A report from the pupil's previous school is also required. Pupils wishing to apply for the "Jane Austen Scholarship for Academic Excellence" must have completed the admission procedure and the entrance examination by 16th December each year.
